Not sure I can justify buying a sixth version of this.  (didnt read other thread first)

A proper box with 12" Sisters EP as well as 12" Lip Gloss and DYRTFT? (And a single LP) would have been more authentic.

Maybe it is a 45rpm LP.

yes I know but with Babies also present on the Sisters e.p. these should have been added to this deluxe edition. I'd buy it if they had been added

Shame it wasnt 3*12 singles plus single LP, but then it would be about £50-£60.  Also Razzmatazz could be added as a bonus 12" as that was on the US version.

His n Hers was reissued 3 years ago with identical track listing, which I got and I have the Sisters ep on 12 from back in the day.

Also appears to be a black double vinyl version with original track listing.

Disappointing that this what Steve & Jarv worked on. Wont be buying it for sure since HnH didnt really remastering. DC, that's another matter...

I expect a super deluxe vinyl edition.

Double LP, 4 12" singles and Glastonbury double LP for about £100.

hehe yeah i suppose they did. Kinda sad Jarvis is working on this rather than new material. I mean, it's been almost six months since he released Must I... starting to lose hope for new material. Was hoping for an autumn release but it seems unlikely now.

I wouldn't be so doubtful. In his last interview (Guardian, last month) he said he had changed his mind about Jarv Is just being a live thing and he also intimated in his radio chat with Lauren Laverne at the start of the summer that an album was in the works.
He's also got his book to finish and the other dozen projects he seems to be working at any one time. I agree it's probably too late for announcing a 2019 LP release but I would expect it by next Spring.

H n H & Different Class weren't remixed for the last reissues were they? It'll be interesting to hear the result. I casually had a listen to The Beatles Abbey Road 2019 mix after I saw so many people were banging on about how good it is & I was surprised as to hear that it really is great as they say.

If they were just realising the straight album with no extras- I could have done without the double vinyl. It's not at all a relaxing experience listening to an album that you have to get up & turn over every 10 minutes.

Depends on the record. The original Elvis Costello LPs suffered from groove cramming, so the 45rpm double LP of Get Happy!  was a lot superior and with 5 tracks on each side a reasonable duration. Suede did similar with Night Thoughts.

However His n Hers is too short, especially with no Babies. But I would like to hear it, so....

Intro is 26 today I just noticed on Pulpwiki. A vinyl reissue of that (with a few extra goodies) would be great.

Hey all - just to point out that this is not the deluxe edition repackaged. It doesnt have any b-sides or demos. It is the original album split over 2 discs, presumably for higher fidelity (and for a higher price tag).

3 tracks on side one, and 2 tracks on side two of both discs.

A plain straight vanilla vinyl reissue would do me, as I have most of the other vinyl releases, except Countdown and MOTU which I am not too worried about.  Intro was my first Pulp album.

Alternatively, a box set of the Gift 12" singles (O.U. , Babies,  Razzmatazz) .

Pulp don't seem to be willing on raiding the vaults, which is a shame if you ask me.

I noticed the same this morning, which prompted a pre-work play of Intro - still sounds great, still one of my favourite Pulp releases. I would love a repress of Intro and have had my fingers crossed it would appear at some point. I agree with ArrGee, a straight forward reissue would do, I have most other Pulp stuff I want on record already.

As for the forthcoming His n Hers reissue, it does seem like a missed opportunity really, I'll stick with my Music On Vinyl copy. Here's hoping for a decent box set one day...

Is there anything left from 94/ 95 ? Apart from WLL and TIH era, i think pretty much everything (that will sell, so HnH and DC tracks) has been released in 2006 ?

There's no unreleased songs but there are lots of unreleased demos of songs from those albums. And these days that (plus maybe some live recording) is more than enough for a reissue.

right, i'd love to hear demos, but live stuff i dont know, I'm not that interested since Pulp kinda played the songs the same way as on the record. Would not justify a buy for me.

Live concerts were what I had in mind. 2 shows released across their whole career.

Arguably 4 official ones, ignoring bootlegs and broadcasts; though a couple were only on video.  And Peel Sessions CD2 was a live compilation

  1. Party Clowns: Live in London 1991
  2. F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.I.V.E.
  3. The Park is Mine
  4. This Is Glastonbury

I suspect Glastonbury 95 will be released next year along with Different Class.
