Does anyone have a recording of the concert that took place on the 4th of october 1991, i mainly want it for the live debut of shes a lady to sort of remake the first ever version of it
if memory serves, Freek had to drive through central Europe to take a Pulp archive from another fan who had posted on here that they didn't have space/use for their Pulp boots no more.
I bumped into Nick Banks and Richard Hawley in the Washington Sheffield. We had a very intellectual conversation related to pulp of which i was branded insane for how I acquired an original Pulp demo. Magnus Doyle smashed out the toilet doors in hysterics.
True story.

Sturdys book launch party back in the day. At least I think it was Magnus anyhow, not many folk in there with dreadlocks that night from what I can recall. This was back in the day when social media didnt even exist. Still find it funny how Nick called me a "fucking nutter"
Thanks for this, it was missing from my collection and it's great to hear it again.
Yes, I remember that night. It still makes me laugh when "Silence" was played at the end and either Magnus or Tim Allcard (I can't remember which) shouted "Shut up Jarvis"
I also remember some of the ex-members commenting that they hadn't heard some of the songs that were played that night for years. If my memory serves, something from about 1982 came on and one of them (possibly David Hinkler) said something along the lines of "Wow, I haven't heard this since we played it at ... in ..."
