I've always wondered about Ed Buller's Pink Glove single mix (has anyone heard that?). I'm sure he didn't get very far with it and a DAT isn't going to turn up but does anyone have any specific info on that track?

Wow, great spot. Anyone on here bidding? If so, no point in all of us bumping up the price if the tracks can be then shared.
Have always wondered about this mix and how it came about. As for Buller's Pink Glove remix, was the song planned as a single at some point? The Peel version knocks spots off the overly-stylised and reverb-drenched official album one imo.
It was planned as a single apparently but Island were keen to re-release Babies so The Sister's E.P. happened. The single remix may well not even have been started or put to tape in any form but I've always wondered.
I am bidding and so far winning. If I win, I will get the DAT converted and upload the resultant MP3s.
If anyone wishes to make a small contribution after I've won then you're more than welcome to but there is no pressure whatsoever (I was going to suggest a few of us clubbing together to bid on it but it's a bit too late now).
As with the "A Little Soul" and "My Body May Die" ones from a couple of years ago, someone from this board who hasn't seen these messages may have won so with a bit of luck, it may surface...
I think Will won those and kind as ever, shared them. I've not seen him post on here in a long time so I'd be surprised if he went for these. Stephen has abandoned us for the Pulp group on Facebook, I wonder if he bid.
Not intentionally abandoned, but the Facebook group is just more accessible on my phone than this - and I rarely go online without using my phone these days!
And no, I definitely didn't bid. I don't think I've ever spent more than £20 on anything Pulp-y, tbh.
Will is very much still around btw - I emailed him a few weeks back - but presumably just isn't in these parts atm.
Not logged in for a while and what a mistake that had turned out to be . As a huge pulp/lightning seeds fan - this version was always up there in the holy grail of gems. For years Ive been hoping it would appear and it has. I missed it. Absolutely gutted and wounded. How would it sound? Given 1993/1994 was when Jollification (and arguably their best album ) was written and produced- you imagine that Lipgloss would have to have been more poppy than what was released. A very strange combination for the band to work with Broudie. I remember asking Nick Banks about this version - he gave a one word answer.... shit!!! Would give my leg to hear this
The DAT looks like it was actually Cenzo Townshends tape - the second photo from the ebay auction backs this up. Cenzo was the producer of numerous Lightning Seeds songs from 1991 onwards. Furthermore - is the seller Cenzo himself?
By way of update regarding this - the DAT was found in a recording studio in Liverpool . It was a one off item. Whether this sees the light of day, who knows . It will be a travesty if it doesnt .
I did that with the buyer of the Bath Baker fanzine a few years back who'd out I'd everyone here....he only went and scanned the whole thing in for me!
