Don't know if you get "arte" a french/german tv station in your country. There is a very nice docu in the mediathek about Abba, Carpenters and the Bee Gees and what they have in common: they are not cool, middle of the road, harmless and they have family bounds. Jarvis an Chilly Gonzales are (some of the) guests who speak about this, Jarvis in minute 38.
I can only see a 2 minute trailer, not anywhere to see the whole programme, even though it says "last day" still. The second episode is all there on the website, but not the first one, as far as I can tell anyway.

Well it's not anymore in the Mediathek (what is the english word for that? The same?) But I found a lot of links to this documentary programme-tv.nouvelobs.com/documentaire/abba-bee-gees-carpenters-s26817/les-annees-choc-1364396/
Most of them in german and french. Maybe if you surch for it in GB you'll get different results. Tonight is the second part and Jarvis says that he like "The day before you came"
Tastes are different...
OK, I saw the programme yesterday and taped it. So I can write to you what Jarvis and Chilly said:
Chilly says, that you shall not fight against the feeling when your body reacts positivly on Abba (although they are not cool). Jarvis is laughing and says: Go to a wedding.I dj'd on weddings and thought "Can I play dancing queen? It's such a cliche. As soon as I played "Dancing Queen" everybody was dancing.
And he admits:
My personal breakthrough was the Abbasong"The day before you came. Chilly, do you know it?" "No." "Oh man, you would like it It's really heartbreaking. She talks about all the things she does the whole day through, go to the bus, buy food, watch Dallas, and at the end it comes out : that was the day before you came. It still makes me cry (and he is honest when he says that, while Chilly smiles appreciativly (hach!). She lives her life and has no idea that it's gonna change the next day.
I think it fits to his kind of (what do you say in English ? kitchensink poetry?)
