Anyway, here is another bootleg for you; this is the radio broadcast of Homelands from May 2001. At the time, a lot of people commented that this was a bit of an odd festival for Pulp to be playing. However, it's a great show and this is the first time a lot of people had heard "The Trees" as it was only the second time they played it. Also, "Weeds" and "Minnie" were still unreleased at this time.
NB. This is taken from the radio broadcast which was a bit botched, Jarvis' talk between "Sorted" and "Weeds" is all muddled plus the volume shoots up right at the very end - neither of these glitches are my fault
Sorted For E's & Wizz
Weeds
Common People
A Little Soul
The Trees
The Night that Minnie Timperley Died
Party Hard
This is Hardcore
Sunrise
Oh, and the title of this post was extracted from Jarvis' between-song comments.
Don't think so, unless it's on one of the CDs you sent me yonks ago. Not going to have chance to look for a bit but will do. I remember taping this concert off the radio when I was revising for my finals. Was it originally broadcast very late at night?

I remember when Alex from Pulp People sent me this on cassette, shortly before I went to my first live gig (Guilfest). :) I was still living at my Dad's at the time. Great memories, thanks. I always assumed that the strange vocal stuff was Jarvis experimenting with a looper - I'd read somewhere that Pulp were nervous at playing at a predominantly dance festival so I thought they were throwing in technical stuff to impress! Guess I was wrong lol. Uh, actually does anyone have the Guilfest concert? It was my first experience so I'd love to hear it again...
Arrrrghhh I was praying you had Bad Cover Version from the full broadcast CD.
I've never had that, only the radio broadcast, though it would be nice to get hold of

Not that I remember, I think it was broadcast in the afternoon. I remember myself, Scotty and a few of the old Bar Italia posters doing a running commentary as it was playing; the thread ended up really long. It is, of course, possible that it was repeated late at night

I am almost certain I sent it you Mark - I could easily be mistaken, as it was during my bad spell. It was an amazing version of BCV - no choir vocals from the swingles, it was just very raw. Yes I remember listening to the concert on Radio 1 - it was around 10pm during Peel i think it was. Was very dissapointed by Trees at the time, but seemed to recall letting out an "oooooooh!!!!" at how good Sunrise was. Not long after that, the white label of Sunrise came out - and was very miffed at it!
