I met a guy at the weekend from Halifax who attended this show. His main memory is of Russell falling over on-stage. Haven't seen the video in a while so can't remember if it's captured in the above footage.
On the tape of the 1992 Piece Hall gig, there's a lot of hilarity from the crowd during the build-up to the first song (She's a Lady I think). I reckon that's the moment. So not in the 1991 vid.

Ah, OK! Excellent knowledge. I'll check with him. He put on a Pet Shop Boys night and I checked it out, was good fun. He does a pretty popular podcast on the duo.
All these years later, Piece Hall puts on big-name gigs every summer. I bet they'd love Pulp to play and have tried to book them. Surely they'd be tempted for old time's sake. It was the rection of the rough youths of 'alifax at that leisure centre gig in '91 that made Pulp believe a breakthrough was possible, after all...
They should definitely go for it. Oh what I wouldn't do for some more indoor shows! Also, if they played Halifax Piece Hall, they'd basically have to play something from Separations. 'My Legendary Girlfriend' would easily be my pick.
