Wow, Fran, thanks for spotting and posting that. How exciting! I've been dying to read a first-hand account by any member of Pulp. This is gonna be a winner. And May is not too long to wait...
Very unexpected and exciting news! Arguably the most interesting member to have played in Pulp, this sounds very promising. I'm expecting something along the lines of Bad Vibes, the Britpop memoir written by an admirer of his, that other indie curmudgeon, Luke Haines.
I guess a note of caution would be that given his penchant for leaving projects unfinished (Two Tribes, The Housing Ladder etc.) and the fact this release date is some eight months away, I'd be impressed if he's even started writing it! Be nice if Jarvis had him in on The Sunday Service to talk about it too.
A few more details including full title (to give it a wider audience I guess) and price and number of pages (not sure it's accurate but you can never have enough Senior). Nice to see that it will be hardback too.
I saw that on Bookseller when the original press release was made but I assumed it was just a placeholder picture. I guess it does have a kind of early 90s Pulp aesthetic with the gaudy colours but it kinda gives the impression it's aimed at teens.
