Just finished reading Owen Hatherley's phenomenal 'Uncommon', which is just an inspiring book in my opinion, and made me love Pulp even more (despite his bizarrely literal reading of the song This Is Hardcore- surely it's widely agreed that the song is an extended metaphor for the feitishisation, pursuit and eventual realisation of fame, and the poisonous affect it can have on an individual?).
But I was just wondering if Hatherley had written any blog posts or anything about the Pulp reunion (which he is highly skeptical of in the book, which was written after the announcement but before the first gig of the reunion). I found a Guardian article written just after Pulp played Isle of Wight, but it mainly consists of extracts from the book. Obviously I know he's not a music writer but just wondered what he thought, out of curiosity really.
