Hello, just putting this out there 'cos I'm sure there must be some musiciany/Manchester-based types on here. And I'm sure you all have exquisite musical tastes :)

Im wondering whether anyone of you might be interested in this idea: myself and two other members of the last line-up of Billy Ruffian (see below!) are reconvening on Monday evening at a Manchester rehearsal room to see whether we still have anything interesting to offer. And to have a bit of fun playing music for this first time in two years. Were currently short of a bassist, but are also interested in branching out a little and would consider any 2nd guitarists, keyboard players etc. who would be interested in playing with our vocalist/guitarist/drummer lineup.

    We played gigs and recorded from 2005 til two years ago. Occasionally lauded by critics, we had some odd brushes with marginal success two members of Art Brut took us under their wing and we recorded an NME single of the week with them, Jon Humphrys played us on Radio 4, Oxfam chose a festive ditty of ours for their Christmas single in 2010, we had a couple of tours with our FLA Records label mates, and also helped to run Cabinet of Curiosities with the excellent Politburo, Plague Doctors and Kingfishers Catch Fire.

    If you like what you hear and fancy playing with us or know someone who might then do get in touch. Its nothing serious at the moment, but who knows what might happen! If youre in a band, between bands or have never played with one before, then were still interested!
