My favourite Pulp logo will ALWAYS be the Different Class one, having plastered it all over everything I owned - and probably some school property, sshhh - as a 14/15/16 year old.
closely followed by HnH and WLL.

the one from 1991 and the second one from 1994. and I agree with you Jazza, the 'new' logo looks strange in black and white. Maybe because it looks like something a 5-year old have drawn....

FANTASTIC! I done the same things! I still have my art notebook, and it's filled with tries to draw the 1995 logo!
My favourite is the 1995 logo, definitely the most fantastic Britpop logo, with some kind of acrylic afternoon's sunshine.

What about this one? I bought it in '95 as part of a badge pack on the DC tour. I always really loved it and wore it everywhere. To me it has a kind of '94 feeling to it and that's why I love it so much.
'95 and WLL era for me. The '92 neon light one has grown on me since the reunion. '91 and '94 (ii) are nice too. Most of the others look, at best, charming or dated to me. Interesting that they changed it so often. Don't most bands stick with the same design for all their releases?
Excuse me. Could you please permit me to repost this picture somewhere else? I run a fan page for pulp in my country (which unfortunately only has a few followers).
Hi, tbh I couldn't tell you, I was everywhere! lol, best position (and the one I stayed in longest) was second to the front barrier in the middle. I don't have red hair at the moment though if that helps (haven't for atleast 2-3 years)
The second 1992 everytime. I think it is the only one. After all it's been behind them on stage for the last couple of years. I really want to get a big version of it.

I want to say the neon one, but the first 1994 one (the PULP. one) just has something about it. Even though it's really simple, barely a 'logo' as such at all really, I find it strangely evocative somehow.

Here's a thing. If you look at the covers to They Suffocate at Night and Master of the Universe, the '91 logo is actually the (second) '86 logo.
I actually noticed this when I compiled the list of logos. I had not included it, as I assumed the as it appears on the cover of Masters, it was part of the sentence that includes the title. The (other) '86 logo appears on the actual disc (inside) of Masters, but not on Suffocate. This is why I assumed it was a sentence font. It made me wonder if Masters had been pressed/printed before Suffocate? Am I reading to much into that? Could it be possible? Masters was recorded a full year before Suffocate. The other reason for this thought is because the logo on Masters is ACTUALLY different then Suffocate. Masters is a slightly different font. The difference is clear on the "U". (yes....I was that bored!)
You were right, I'd never notice but the fonts are are slightly different between TSAN and Master. Probably because the former was done by Jarvis and the latter by the mysterious Robert Winterman Design Group; presumably they had different Lettraset kits to hand!
Reading too much into it? Probably!
I like that other hand-drawn 1986 logo. It's got that sort of DIY oddness that suits the period quite well.

It's like the 1995 and 1998 ones had a baby. I dig it. What's it called?
Acrylic Afternoons will hopefully update the superb twitter thread, naming the new font. It's pinned for anyone who hasn't seen it, not posting link as that might trigger spam filter?
My favourite variant of the new logo is the gradient, with shadow. Quite fancy the denim t-shirt with it on, but quite dear when you include p&p. BTW the Pulp store has a sale on of the older stuff from 2023-24. My all time favourite logo is Intro - Mexico '68 / Pump (thanks AA), though very fond of 1995 (previous imperial phase, and now superseded?).
The new one is growing on me, but I think it would be either 92 or 97 to me. That Hardcore logo was always fun to draw on my school notebooks, and the Intro one looks fab on t-shirts.
