He was in the West Indies, on holiday apparently, last week. Back today. A Pulp song was played on his show! By a guest presenter obviously (John Cooper Clarke and Turkey Mambo Momma). I'm always a week late checking out the show when I think of it. I think the new one, with Jarvis back, is on now.

Was it Jamaica he was 'vacationing' in? The song he played sounded "Jamaican". Cochella cruise went to Jamaica. James Murphay was in Jamaica working with the Arcade Fire. Jarvis did play Brian Eno at the end of the show. That can connect back to Markus Dravs, back to James Muphay, back to Jamaica.  Maybe Im reading into this too much!?

Maybe he's writing that novel he teased during that brief Coachella soundbite. Maybe it's a 'Murder, She Wrote' style Caribbean murder/mystery and he went there for research?

So what we've concluded so far:

Pulp's inevitable new album will be a concept album, consisting of various murder-mystery themed vignettes set to a reggae beat! Sounds good so far!

With Jarvis, in a nod to his Relaxed Muscle alter ego, taking on the role an amateur sleuth from Catcliffe called Jessica Fletcher.

Please could Mark be his bespectacled, chuntering sidekick with a penchant for ginger nut biscuits?
