Whisper it but I don't really rate any of them.

What's your choice?

Out of that list, probably QOTSA, with Radiohead and Foo Fighters close behind. I can't believe they have Daft Punk and Chemical Brothers in there but no Prodigy!

I get the impression from the trails and what some of the presenters have said that they have basically picked a song each, then filtered it to make sure each band only gets one song. But for many of the bands/artists, they don't even have the best song from that artist for me, e.g. for me, Standing at the Sky's Edge is much better than Richard Hawley's earlier albums. I have to admit to not knowing half the list either. So I could just vote for the artist? But then, it's meant to be about 6 Music's lifetime, so any of the older artists' best periods are before then and have some song you've never heard of in this list.

Songs that stand out to me are things like Rehab, Paper Planes, Seven Nation Army, Pumped Up Kicks, Five Years Time, Do You Realize, Mt Brightside, but why no "Dry Yoiur Eyes" for The Streets, or I really like Pelican by the Maccabees but they have some other song on the list ... all too difficult for me really, they could have smuggled After You in and made it so much easier!

Maybe I'm being unnecessarily harsh on the list. I have to admit to being very underwhelmed by mainstream music in the '00's. I'm just being a big old grump really.

Out of Time by Blur? But but...Fool's Day and 'Westway' have trampled all over that!

And I'm sure Primal Scream have probably released something better than Country Girl since then.

Plenty of good stuff there, had to vote for an old friend who's up there, but would've been spoilt for choice otherwise.

Shotoki: what post-2002 Prodigy track could they have included? I really can't think of one.

I think Out of Time is one of Blurs very best songs much better than Westway and Fools (good as they both are)

I think Out of Time is better live, but still a very good song.

Well there's a huge selection to choose from, but Omen and Warriors Dance both charted in the top 10. I'd choose Girls though personally.

Hounds of Love is a great cover a cover as one of the best singles of the decade kinda says a lot for the decade.
I've heard Mr Brightside too many times to know if it's a good song or not anymore.
Hey Ya probably deserves it imo.

Completely with you on Hounds of Love. I went through a recent phase of listening to that song (Futureheads) about 5 times a day for a fortnight (I am prone to these little song phases)
