My pre-order has just downloaded. This interview I posted before about the making of it was quite nice. He did play one of the songs on the radio recently and had to fess up to being the producer
Serafina Steer is in session on 6 Music now with Mark Lard.
Had to go out before she came on, so I missed the live broadcast, so will have to iplayer it. It says this on Marc Riley's programme page:
"Serafina is accompanied on the album by Steve Mackey, Jarvis Cocker, The Boxettes, Polar Bear's Seb Rochford and The Flying Lizards' keyboard wizard David Cunningham."
Maybe that explains some of the tales of Jarvis being spotted in recording studios last year, I specifically remember a tweet from a Boxette about doing some recording with him.

We'll use the one thing we've got more of, that's our minds.
Was a lovely evening, met both Jarvis and Steve and they both performed with Serafina, Steve was sat down and still managed to gyrate. It was filmed and recorded so will surface soon and while I was talking to Jarvis an associate came up to him and said 'see you at the studio tomorrow' so that's exciting!
Ahh, the joys of the iplayer, not living in that London or whatever. Starts at 21:52. Not sure how I'd feel if I were Serafina, she's getting far more publicity that she would otherwise had she had some producer no-one had ever heard of, but most of it isn't about her!
