Jarvis narration on Riots Not Diets compilation album

Dunno if this has been discussed, but my friend has just played me this Riot Grrrl compilation (which just came out a couple of weeks ago) and I was surprised to hear some between song voiceovers from Jarvis.. Anyone know what the deal is with this, whether he recorded voiceovers specfically for the album or if they're using recordings from another source? Google doesn't reveal anything at all!

Weren't that whole scene featured in an episode of Wireless Nights? In  Brighton as I remember. Maybe another one of his connections. Like the Boxettes for example. He seems to be trying to do what he can to get more exposure for various such people who catch his attention.

ah right, so a favour for friends perhaps? Very nice of him, though he isn't credited anywhere on the record!
