Nah, Stephen is the guru. I just spend idle time on here when lazy like now after rolling-in from a night out.
And now I can hear the dawn chorus beginning in earnest outside my window which is a cue for sleep (getting-up if I was on a farm).

Hey guys. I don't post here much but allow me to introduce myself. I'm Suzy, aged 31 and have been a Pulp fan since around 1993 or so. :) Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Jarvis' role at Faber, and what exactly he's doing there? A lot was made out of it a few months ago but not heard much since. Intrigued, that's all! :)

I think his official title is "editor at large". He recently told the NME that he was working on getting a couple of books published for Faber as he hadn't done much editing yet.

Jarvis' role at Faber was the subject of a question on Cleverdicks the other day. Needless to say no one knew the answer. Quite liked the way Ann Widdecombe said his name though.

Is she more or less scary than Anne Robinson as a quiz show host? Maybe it is to do with being called Ann(e).

She's just really socially awkward.

Yeah she is quite awkward. But I can relate to that. She sometimes seems to be doing an Anne Robinson impression but she's too nice to pull it off. I only watched the first episode as a junkie of new quiz formats (I usually get my fill from a couple of episodes) but now I'm quite addicted.

Eamonn, you do yourself down. To be honest, I'd long lost all my Pulp knowledge when I became a fan again in 2010 or whatever it was. It was only through having Pulpwiki so full and usefully organised that allowed me to piece my collection back together again.

So yeah, in just two years you can outstrip my knowledge.

I'd give the guru title to Sturdy or Will myself. Or, of the less frequent posters, Havenhand and Jason. Just for 'being there at the time'!
