For those interested, there is a Coachella live stream on Youtube. Pulp are subbing the main stage between 7:50 and 8:50pm Pacific Time (A.K.A 3:50-4:50am GMT) and the whole set is live on the stream! To those willing to stay up for this, I have a lot of respect for y'all. Hopefully there'll also be a highlights system or something!
Here's the link:

Enjoy!

Do you remember trying to watch these live Internet streams in the late 90s? Sounded like a telephone call underwater with 1 frame every 8 seconds. It's come a long way but things can only get better!
Ok I might be imagining this...but from the jimmy fallon footage and the footage from coachella... Jarvis seems to be 'acting out' and singing in an 'explanatory' way...like he is explaining and miming the songs to the audience as if they may not 'get it'. Does anyone agree? The performances just seem to be quite different for the american audience. Just my opinion of course. hmm..
Not heard this, but your comments remind me of the Blur Brit Awards gig. It looked every bit as good as any Blur gig I've seen...but by God, the sound was appallingly mixed! It made them sound so shit...and people have since said it wasn't a good gig.
So gutting given it was the first time people will have seen them on TV in years, too...
Let's just hope the actual sound at Coachella was rather better!
