Hello, does anyone know the full lyric to this song? I know Will' made a sterling attempt on the Pulpwiki. Ive been trying to make sense of Jarvis' ramblings on this for a hundred, thousand years but no breakthrough. Can anyone help? Thank you.
I suspect it's one of the ones where he never properly finished the lyrics. There are three recordings that I know of, his indistinct warblings sound slightly different on each one, and don't seem to make much sense on any of em. I too have tried to transcribe the Dolebusters version, but just came to the conclusion that there wasn't enough there to justify the effort. Shame, it could have been a good un if it'd ever been finished / recorded - I can imagine a studio version being another of the nightmare disco scenarios a bit like Master of the Universe.

The Dolebusters version doesn't sound too bad to deal with, decipherability-wise. Skipping through the different versions, I do notice recurring sections between the three...
Cheers guys, i agree it would have been a bit of a dark monster dancefloor tune. Meanwhile, ive made an attempt at translating the words myself, admittedly they aint absolutely complete. Nights of suburbia, blah, blah and blah here, all my life i was born to be with you here, Fall into Roxy's and we danced, oh we danced, and we danced...virgins became whores etc...etc..thats it basically. i really didn't make that much of an effort did i?
"fall into Roxy's and we danced" is interesting, hadn't heard that before. Pulpwiki has it as "Frozen in (?) inside makes you dance", and somewhere else I've seen it as "flaws and cracks said to dance". I don't think it's any of those, but I don't know what it could be!
Stephen - yeah, true enough that it's a nice clear recording. Unfortunately Jarvis' actual singing is somewhat less clear...
