It's all a little bit unsettling this random series of dates they keep announcing. I notice that the band photo has been cropped to remove Russell again!

I live in fear of them finally announcing a Sheffield gig and me not being able to go for some reason

Don't even mention that! I'm becoming increasingly paranoid about the same thing. My summer is now practically booked up with appearances at festivals and other events, if they were to announce something out of the blue I'd weep. The only slight hope I am clinging too is that Bucharest thing is July so any Sheffield dates have to be after that, don't they?

that's what i'm hoping too, I have 3 holidays booked so they can't play in the UK before that! (ok apart from 31 march)

Ohhhhhhh, my parents live in Bulgaria - very tempted right now but sensible head says "NO!" Especially as the BG visit this year is already booked and done for April.

Interesting. The ''bowing out with a few final shows in the spring'' has morphed into something more. The likelihood is they'll be on the festival circuit again, then, though to a much lesser degree, I would imagine, than last year. If they are in the position to pick and choose, it's money for old rope (in a good way!) so why not? I remember Nick saying before when they played Turkey or somewhere for the first time in 2002, the summer before they split, that he'd miss going to visit new places where the group were invited to play.
