Will Wiki comes up with rare Pulp tv gold once more. Check them out (Thanks Will!):
I love how the German fella tries to get Jarvis to play some of This Is Hardcore on the keyboard and Steve playing the bass notes! We've had Jarvis discuss his lyrics but for the musos among us talking about how certain songs came about, musically, would be really interesting.
I'm glad you've found the German TV stuff and that it's of interest. I was going to mention it on here at some point.
It's quite interesting even though you get the impression Jarvis and Steve don't really want to be there, particularly with the rather sarcie responses from Jarvis when the presenter asks him about his 'jet life'.
The second one with Jarvis and Steve talking about Pulp videos is probably the more interesting for me. And it's nice to hear Steve talk a bit, so often it seems to be Jarvis with other band members just nodding or only getting in the occasional word or two.
I'm gradually sorting out my Pulp TV recordings at the moment and I will add a few more things to YouTube as I do it. I'm also planning to expand the details on the wiki a bit. Related to this, I've got a question...
I have a 25 minute interview with Jarvis and Steve from around the time We Love Life was released. It was broadcast on German satellite station '2 Rock'. Below are two stills. I know around that time Jarvis and Steve recorded a promotional interview (directed by Martin Wallace, I think), which was released to journalists as part of an 'electronic press kit'. Is the '2 Rock' interview taken from the press kit, or is it a different one done exclusively for the channel? I suspect the former, but I'm not certain.
