I got seated, then managed to get standing. I'm going to try and see if I can cancel the first order.

But if anyone on here has been unsuccessful and wants them at face value (they're row 'R') then let me know first...

I just did exactly the same thing (also row R, I think!) but I have friends other than my gig buddy who'll want them, I reckon!

I wish I'd picked up a couple of tickets now regardless... Seen standing tickets going for £550 already! Scoundrels!

Would anyone pay £550?  Looking on seatwave, there are a load of tickets, and only one sale of gallery standing at a modest £60.  There are plenty of seats available at face value at the moment.

I doubt anybody would buy those tickets at the moment and they are the most extreme example saw but it shows what the touts have in mind. I thought any decent tickets are too expensive at face value. Frankly if you stand up in that gallery you might as well stay at home. I don't mean to moan but it is only really money the reason I'm not going! This whinging may now belong in another thread regarding touts and may look stupid within the next couple of weeks anyway as I'd imagine as soon as I, alcohol, a computer and a credit card are all in the same room my take on matter will be very different

I totally understand.  After been out of work for a couple of months, frivolous things like concerts seem super expensive, but as I got a job offer last week, and my wife is treating me to the gig as a birthday present anyway, money is not a issue this time.  However it is definitely the most I have ever paid face value for a concert.  I managed to get my Hyde Park ticket for less than  £50 thanks to someone selling it off cheap on seatwave.  However, I wasn't going to take a chance with this one. The blur/Specials/NewOrder Hyde Park will break that record in August, but as I'm seeing three bands I like , I can justify it as 3 £20 gigs.

Just as well I mainly like obscure acts, makes life a lot cheaper than forking out to see big stars.
