I'm sure this is covered in a previous thread but I couldn't find it so... the intro to the new shows when the lettering came up behind the curtain, was that new music and, if so, has it been named?

It was a slowed down mix of common people. Really slow.

It's old - the same music was used to open the 1996 shows. Don't know if it has a title as such.

Nice fact - my first Pulp gig was '96, but I didn't recognise it per se; I do recall a long, meandering intro that eventually dissolved into the cords of I Spy, which of course were then repeated for aaaaages before Jarvis walked on... I guess that must have been it. Magic...

Yeah, weren't the '96 intros the brooding strings of I Spy and the God-awful HiNRG version of Common People?

there was two intros used on the recent tour, the common people slowed down ghostly sound when the lasers were used beaming the letters onto the cloth, and then the keyboards kicked in "sounds like the chord from razzmatazz"........

The one that had Jarvis intoning the text from the Different Class sleeve down a Vocoder was definitely used at the start of the V96 shows.

Yeah I thought it sounded like a slowed Common People kind of job with the lasers, it was the keyboards that made me boogy a plenty throughout the summer with the Vocoder... by the way Sturdy loved the book!
