I've been putting together the 7th portfolio and realised I don't have the 'encore' tracks from this gig - Maureen and Little Girl.

Can anyone oblige...?

I don't think they are in circulation are they? I know my copy of this show doesn't have them either.

Ah, right. I was just quite surprised when I went to check my copy against the wiki. Before the last song, Jarvis is kicking off about being cut short, so I hadn't expected more. The wiki suggested the whole set was available, but if not, then that's fine!

Well, I don't know that for certain, but I've never heard the encores.

I'll check when I get home but I think that they are definitely out there somewhere. I remember there being some confusion over Jarvis introducing "Maureen" as "The first song that we ever wrote". Obviously he was referring to that version of the band...

Ian, that'd be much appreciated. I don't believe I've heard this introduction.

Fascinating historical point, though. Maureen's music was, I believe, from Russell's pre-Pulp band The Nightmares. When one forms a band from the wreckage of an old one, I've always noticed that the first things you do is mess around with the best bits from the previous entities.

Interesting!

It is an historical show from another point of view as well since it is the last show where Manners and Magnus performed with Pulp. After this show they were fired, even Candida left after this show, and Nick Banks and Steven Havenhand were hired to replace them.

Indeed, Stephen. I'm going to go with a Pete and Magnus oriented sleeve for this volume!
