December - April: quite a big gap to stay fit. And what would be the point of another farewell tour, after the reunion / farewell tour last summer. It makes no sense to have a gap of 6+ months between those two. I bet on album recorded and marketing teams working on the comeback. Jaris wants it, Steve probably wants it, Nick isnt against it. Mark and Candida have been convinced. So let's go !

Well it's just a quick thing they were asked to do and keeps them ticking over, rehearsal/soundcheck-wise. And the point of a farewell tour may be the prospect of bringing it to where a cult demand remains - primarily North and South America.
All just speculation but I think it's more likely than a comeback record especially after hearing what Jarvis said in Cheltenham two months ago about bowing out next spring.

I would prefer you to be right though.
Yeah but that observer interview was weirdly not at all about Pulp... I think there's hope. I hope !
Wow, they really are peerless aren't they? Wonder how long they played for? I think I can see a setlist taped to the floor behind Jarvis monitor but it's impossible to read.
...well, seeing them pop up again like this makes it feel like they're more "together" as a band than I had previously supposed... not just a short-term, nostalgia-driven "reunion" project, but reformed fully, maybe durably. Surely that'll mean new material sooner or later? No serious band of musicians would want to be, ahem, pickled in formaldehyde like a dismembered sheep.
...Unless this escapade merely suggests that they'll jump for the dollar-on-a-hook? I for one, predictably as a fan, doubt it.
Yeah it's recent: the beard, the retro costume, it's Jarvis 2011. He was a cowboy in 2006 2007 and a history teacher in 2009. Now he's a philosopher :D
I think it's definitely legit. Saw several tweets about it the day after the party (including one confirming Russell wasn't there). Press rarely cover the entertainment at private events.
