...nice wee article and interview. I liked the ambiguity of Cocker's reportedly "cagey" response to questions regarding the future of Pulp, which whilst not giving concrete cause for hope, might nonetheless suggest that discussions have taken place and/or are ongoing. (That said, his actual wording didn't make it into print).

The fact that they obviously avoid the Pulp subject with direct questions is a good sign, i guess. Probably some PR behind it.

Think it's in the print edition of the Observer which is the Guardian on a Sunday isn't it?

 

Not much about Pulp in the article but interesting to read where the opening line of I Spy came from. I wish his notes in ''Mother Brother Lover'' had contained more stories like that about the lyrical roots and inspiration for the songs.
