And the question is; Does anyone have this? I would like to hear the interview with Jarvis & Russell.

I don't know exactly when the interview is from. The cassette is from '87 so maybe it would be more like Portfolio #5 or #6!

If the interview in question is taken from Radio Sheffield, I have a copy of that.

Wow. I didn't think that would be in circulation. Thanks for that!

Btw, I note the interview is from the 16th May. I further note Premspeak came out in "May". It'd be a close run thing if it did make it out on that!

I was just pondering that very same issue myself. In '87 Jarvis was pushing the 'new' Pulp sound, which makes it kind of a shame that it's just an old Ping Pong Jerry demo on the tape. Still, a great interview, very witty. It appears that this tape is not in circulation. Can anyone provide details of the interview on Premspeak 1?

OK doke, as stated, I now have Premspeak. Hurrah! It'll be made available soon.

And in case anyone was wondering (as I was)...why was 'Maureen' on here? Why was it three years after its recording...?

Paul Mills: "I approached Pulp in 1986 for some material, they gave me "Back in L.A." and then when I interviewed Russell and Jarvis [at the end of 1986 for Premspeak 1] I asked for "Maureen" as I'd seen them play it live and thought it was such a great song not to have released."
