Commenting in another thread about this gig has prompted me to ask, does anyone know what caused Mackey to jump into the crowd and fight with someone? The person in question had been shouting stuff at him during the gig but I can't remember what. It was very strange. The gig had ended and they came back on to do Bar Italia. If I remember right, there was no power on stage by then so I got the feeling it might have been an excuse for Steve to go deck the bloke! Always wondered to this day...
I wasn't, but Mrs Sturdy was. I will ask her. I do know there was a bit of trouble at that gig generally, lots of rozzers bundling people into vans at the end.
