I saw most of that at Wireless - even won one myself - and thought they were all a bit overpriced - £20 for a t-shirt is a bit much in my book... you could get a t-shirt that says "I SAW PULP LIVE" like that made for cheaper...

yeah perhaps, (I still bought one though!). They weren't selling mugs and posters at Wireless though were they?

Theyre not selling the This is Hardcore shirts from Primavera. Knew I should have snapped one up then and there. They didnt have the mugs, buttons, stickers or posters (at least not at the two merch tents I passed by) at Wireless either...

I got the bag which is mahoosive and I think good value for the money (£18). I would have bought an official shirt for myself and my partner, but they dont sell in fat people sizes. :(

So want the Common People mug! £6 is awesome, hope they don't have mental postage prices like on the Belle and Sebastian shop...

Yeah, they had the Common People and Hardcore tees at Primavera...I presumed they were unofficial. Kind of weird to have the details of the picture at the bottom of the shirt too...Interesting to see where and when the iconic covers were shot though...the Common People pic as far back as Nov '94, six months before the single came out? Blimey.

They could have been a bit more imaginative all-round. Sad to see no nod to We Love Life or the ''depths of our musical heritage''. If it's aimed at Pulp fans and not casual festival goers they could have put a bit more thought into the items...no?

I might just get one of the posters.

I thought for 25 or so they were charging for something that looked like it wasnt official was a lot, so passed.  Nice to know I wasnt the only one to think this.

A bit boring really. I was hoping for t-shirts with some of the teaser questions on from the website. Or maybe a t-shirt with 'we don't want no trouble, we just want the right to be different' on.

Not to be a drag, but I am unimpressed! The Pulp logo t shirts look like they couldn't be bothered to sourced the original and did a bad hand drawing and 'I Saw Pulp...' in plain text? Would have been cool to see the iconic neon sign reproduced somehow. Weirdly though, I am gravitating towards the idea of owning a His 'N' Hers mug...

I remember when they were a fiver from outside venues!

And my V96 Jarvis poster cost ONE WHOLE POUND from outside the venue.

Imagine that!

Really? I'm over the moon about the His n Hers t-shirt I bought at Wireless. I thought the printing was pretty good. Didn't see any of the other photo shirts being sold, just those horrid I Saw Pulp Live shirts. Upon seeing them I cried out "That is the worst band shirt I've ever seen." Upon reflection I wish I hadn't echoed my concern to the merch girl, but then again when I said "I"ll take a His n Hers shirt" she didn't know what I was talking about. And what happened to the Pulp logo? They should have done one with the neon lettering, or as Deebs said, questions from the website.

Also, at Primavera, did they have the This is Hardcore cover on a shirt, or was it another image?

Exactly! Such an iconic image which I was very pleased they had utilised for the reunion promotion- they should've run with it in terms of merchandise. I love it so much. Shame everything has sold out now anyway. A HNH mug would've been nice :(

has it sold out? I was under the impression that they didn't actually have everything in stock at the beginning since it had just opened: certainly the case with the posters - they have been out of stock since i first noticed the store was open(and i was checking fairly regularly)

It was the album cover from TIH with photo info.

Its just the way the image was printed on the shirt that made it look cheap. For the 25 euros they were charging, it felt like a lot. Especially, the next day when I picked up a DJ Shadow shirt for 10 euros less and it looked a lot more official.

Im missing the old school Pulp logo, too. Though liking the new one as well (as its just a bit more modern) though that might have something to do with the original Design Republic studios going bust 2 years ago. Maybe they own the rights to the old logo?

Aha! Maybe that's why, I had wondered. Bring on the neon!

wow, I'd actually love an I Saw Pulp Live shirt, mostly because in the states any time i tell someone im listening to "Pulp" they just stare at me blankly.

you know what my dream piece of merchandise would be, though? one of those "Jarvis is innocent" shirts from the MJ period. were these ever mass produced, or did they just whip them up for the photo shoot below? hmm.

You could send off for one for a brief period. The Mirror or Mail, or whichever hypocritical rag it was did one too. I would like a black t shirt with the old neon 'Pulp' sign on it, please.

The shirts are a bit daft. I love the This Is Hardcore poster. Maybe picking one up.

I still have my black shirt with the old neon logo on it from the 1994 (?) US tour...and that stinky vinyl bag is in a box somewhere, probably full of all of my old Pulp swag.  I'm disappointed with the lack of effort put into the new merch designs.  The album cover designs are kind of cool, but the brushed logo and "I Saw Pulp Live" designs are just lazy, imho, particularly for THIS band, being that they are so damn stylish...
