Literally only just discovered this site 3 minutes ago! Hi!!!!!!
I was so excited when I saw the email in my inbox about the Brixton Academy but my excitement was shortlived as my mum vetoed it as an option within seconds :(
I really hope there isn't another 15 year gap between concerts - Sunday in London was the first time I'd seen Pulp live and I hate to think it may be the last! I wanna see them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why did your mum veto it? is there no way to convince her? When I told my mum about the concert she insisted on me ordering a ticket for her too! (and i thought I was unlucky)
My mum vetoed it on the grounds it's in Brixton (which is apparently dodgy) and because she seems to have lost the ability to be positive about anything. I offered to buy her a ticket as well and all!! Talk about generous :P
I'm trying to figure out a way around it though, so if you can think of anything it would be most appreciated :D
go anyway :P sorry no ideas other than play Pulp really loud until your mum realise how great they are and how she shouldn't deprive you of the opportunity of seeing them live again
Dinny, let me guess, you're between 15/16 and 18 right?
Just tell your mum you're going and thats that (as long as you dont need her to stump up the cash).
She can't physically stop you and I doubt she'll come up with any kind of punishment which would offset the joy of seeing Pulp.
Not only that but when you come back from Brixton with all four limbs still working and your nose in the right place, maybe she'll realise you can actually manage pretty well after all.
Hahaha!!! XD I'm going to stay with my cousins at some point over the summer so I'm going to see if it can be arranged for, ooh, say the end of August/beginning of September
Dinny, I've now been to two gigs at Hyde Park and three at Brixton. Hyde Park was far and away the rougher of the the venues. Brixton is such a lovely venue. Yes, the area is a bit rough, but the venue's about two minutes' walk from the tube station!
mmm, I wouldn't say that. Hard to get a drink, can end up upstairs and far from the stage, and a pain to get home from (especially at 3am). Maybe just been there too many times.
I prefer Forum, Coronet, and the sadly deceased Astoria, but the Garage and The 100 club are the daddies.
