I've just had a bulletin from Secret Cinema, about one of Mark monthly film screening things down there. Now I can't guarantee 100% that he will actually be there, but he usually is. Anyway it's free, except if you want a beer, then it's £2.

Mark WAS there! I gave him a bunch of roses, and had a little chat with him after the screening. I'll try and transcribe for you what I can remember.
Me: Hiya Mark (gives flowers) MW: Oh thank you! What are these for? Me: Erm.....well you know for the last couple of weeks I guess. I've been watching a bit of Youtube. MW: Yes, I've been watching some Youtube too ME: I was quite surprised you are here tonight. I thought you'd be off rehearsing. MW: Well we've been rehearsing really hard for the past 6 months. So..Yeah. Me: Oh these aren't just from me, they're from the Bar Italia people too. They've asked me to pass on a few messages. Everyone's been saying how well you look. MW: Thank You! ME: I must watching the Youtube videos, say you certainly sound A LOT better than I remember. MW: Yes, better than I remember too! Me: So...the next one is Isle of Wight. Looking forward to it? MW: Yep. Are you going to the Isle of Wight? Me: No, I am going to Wireless though. If my ticket turns up! MW: Well they don't really give out the tickets until 2 weeks before. Me: Yeah...well it is a bit worrying that the Barcleycard people already have their tickets. But you know if they don't turn up by the end of June, I'll have to ring someone. MW: Yes. Don't worry. It'll be fine. Me: I was listening to the Lamaq, erm, Steve Lamaq show the other day. From what I've been seeing and hearing, I can't belive that until 6 months ago you haven't picked up a guitar in 8 years. MW: Well, it wasn't that I hadn't picked up a guitar in 8 years, more like I hadn't played the guitar for more than 5 minutes at a time, until about 6 months ago. Me: Yeah. Well you still sound really good. MW: Thanks! Me: Anyway, I have a few messages from Bar Italia. The Australian members are really excited that you are touring over there. MW: Yes. I'm really excited about touring Australia as well. It'll be good! Me: I have heard rumours about touring America MW: America? Me: Yes, someone posted some dates off of a website. In October I think. MW: There aren't any plans to tour in America. At least, nobody'd told me if there are. Especially not in October, when I've got the film festival. Me: Yes, of course. I had thought that as well. OH WOW!! Ive had a shite day at work and to come home and see that Mark is looking forward to coming to Australia (I think he's actually come out a few times for film things - I remember Brisbane many years back like 2003??...DOnt quote me!) Great great great is all I can type...... this time in 3 weeks I'll be on a Qantas plane - might even wear my Pulp tee shirt!
