Got the "Further Complications/Girls Like it Too" 7-inch for $6 on Saturday. Gotta say, the Alibini production sounds better on vinyl than MP3, perhaps obviously so.

Does that follow for the LP too?

I don't know. I only have it via promo MP3s. I imagine so, though. Anyone have any insight?

You mean you never even bought a CD of the album? Heathen!

i have the vinyl album, and think it sounds great...but I have also never heard the album in digital form, so I can't compare.

Sorry...useless post there.

I have the vinyl album, a promo cd and a download of the album since I needed it for my iPod and I didn't get the promo cd yet. The vinyl sounds great. Really full. The cd and mp3's are a bit lighter in my opinion. But that can also be because when I put on the vinyl I turn up the volume.

That album indeed sounds better on vinyl, not doubt. It has that raw unpolished sound that fits with vinyls

Sadly there are no record stores near me.   Pretty much every store within a ten mile radius has closed in the last few years.

The best we have is an Oxfam Books & Music in the High Street which turns up the odd gem when someone clears out their attic.

I do the odd trip to Soho, but must confess I don't really like stores like Sister Ray. Don't really like Rough Trade East much either.  Often just go to Fopp and look for anything HMV are clearing out.

All well and good having the exclusive stuff in store if you can get to one.  Anyway it's all up on eBay now, so much for record store day.
