I have some very exciting news, guys and gals! Weinerworld/ITV are delving into their archives to release some rare concert material this year...

and this will include the 'Stage One' Town And Country Club gig from July 1991!!!!!!

That's brilliant!! But how do you know it will include the whole gig and not just a couple a songs alongside a load of shit bands (Status Quo, Squeeze, Spandu Ballet etc)? I'd say that was more likely..

There are separate releases for each band (e.g. the Spandau Ballet release is a DVD, CD and book), so it will be the full programme on a Pulp DVD - ISTR there were five songs broadcast on ITV... is it too much to hope they recorded and kept the entire concert?

I'd be amazed if they'd kept the entire concert.

Great news though. Wonder if there's any hope of them going the extra mile and digging out the New Sessions show to fill out the DVD?

Wow, that footage is pristine quality compared to the multiple-hand generation VHS version I, and I suspect many of us, have.

Yeah it would be great if the New Sessions was put on there too. I thought Lynn was organising a kitty so we could buy it off ITV a while back.

May the 2011 Pulp back-catalogue releases continue please...

Nice one. Looks as though they do have the full concert, judging by the DVD sleeve shown for the Pulp release on that PDF document?

Either that or it's just a very short DVD?

 Aye I was, couldn't get enough people interested though, sadly!! There was me and Sturdy, maybe 4 other people... but if anyone's interested, I'm still up for doing it (if it's not included on this dvd, that is)

Do you think it'll be top & bottom cropped to widescreen, as that trailer is? cry.gif

Kinda annoying if so. Fingers crossed for 4:3 !

How much was it gonna cost to get off ITV (before the DVD announcement)?

I can confirm it will be 4:3 original. It was widescreen just for the trailer.
