Scott, I'd recommend looking not at the likes of Trainline.com, but at the sites of actual service providers. Look at who runs slow train services from your home to London eg: London Midland, Cross Country, Arriva Trains etc. and go straight to their site for the cheapest tickets.
If anyone is after weekend (3 day) tickets, we are getting rid of some due to unforseen circumstances... Selling at face value (without the extortionate £12 booking fee per ticket)!
James, If Bort has allready managed to get rid I am looking to sell tickets for the Pulp day at face value (so it'd be cheaper than off TicketMaster which includes silly booking fees)
And ignore my post about weekend tickets above...long story.
If anyone is interested, I have a Sunday ticket for less than face value since I will no longer be able to attend.
If James doesn't take it, I'll be interested. Send me a PM.
I don't think the Sunday will sell out. 30,000 tickets is a lot to shift. The support doesn't appeal to me, and will probably have less appeal to the typical wireless festival goer. I wouldn't cross the road to see any of the acts on the other days, and I suspect many of those who would watch Black Eyed Peas and Chemical Brothers would not worry too much about Pulp.
Also factor in that it is a Sunday night and many will want to get back home to get in work on Monday Morning.
I have held off getting a ticket as I suspect there may be another 2-4-1 offer from Barclaycard, a load of tickets becoming available on lastminute, or I may even get a free pass. But if the worst comes to the worst I'll pay full whack the week before.
I have to save my pennies for the local Brentwood festival the following weekend. http://www.brentwoodfestival.co.uk/ £12 for 3 days! (and about £50 on beer, hic!) Tickets on sale in 3 days for that one, I don't expect a rush.
Bort, how much do you want for the wireless ticket? I have another mate who wants to come.
40 GBP or best offer. It's will call, so I'll have to call ticketmaster and have them change the name. I am not sure what all is involved for Hyde Park, but when I did it for a show in LA, I just called ticketmaster and they just changed the name on the will call list. I know for some shows, they want the new recipient to bring some kind of signed document.
