Magnificent. It's a crime that it's not available to a wider audience. I somehow feel like a part of my life has been completed now I've finally got this:)

Jarvis sings it with such a passion and emotion - I cant understand how it was dropped - it would fit in perfectly to We Love Life, or even a B Side - damn how did Roisin Murphy's version of Sorted get a release instead of this? I really just dont get it.

I was struck by how close the arrangement was to the live version we've all heard before. It would've fit perfectly on We Love Life, and it has the softer, more acoustic sound I was expecting expecting from much of that album.

I really like it. Maybe the reunion will help increase the market for a deluxe edition of WLL.

Liking it also. Not sure yet which I prefer, this version or the live recording.

It's great to hear. This particular copy sounds like it's done the rounds like! I haven't listened to the live version for a very long time as the quality was getting on my nerves but this isn't bad at all.
I was surprised at the vocals being swimming in reverb. I had expected a much warmer closer feel to it.

A WLL deluxe version would be the bees knees. I would imagine something will be release next year but if it's a 'best of' with no extras I will feel rather betrayed!

Thanks again Scott. This has saved me countless hours trawling through deep dark corners of the Internet looking for this song. Cheers!

Thanks so much!

How could thy not release this?
How could they not release After you?

Pulp kind of lost track when Russel left and they did release Help The Aged instead of Cocaine Socialism.

I cant wait for the WLL Deluxe Edition.

Help The Aged isnt their best song, but the rest of the record is a masterpiece. And Russell didnt play a note on it.

Nowt wrong with Help The Aged. I think Cocaine Socialism would have been a bit of a sickly single. Seeing that it's got the guitar riff from Common People in there it wouldn't create the impression that the band had moved on!

I'm so addicted to Cuckoo now, thanks again Scott. It's so unlikely, but fu*k I hope they start playing it in the summer.

This song is so beautiful, I never understood why the whole session was shelved and many of these tracks didnt make it to an official release. I so hope for a deluxe edition of We Love Life this year!
