Pulp Slashed In Betting As Glasto Headline Slot Beckons
William Hill have slashed the price of Pulp headlining Glastonbury 2011 from 10/1 to 5/2 following a flood of money in the last 24 hours. The band have only recently reformed and will surely be targeting a Glastonbury slot. The band previously headlined in 1995 and there are many that think 2011 may be the year that the band return to the Pyramid Stage.
The amount of money that we have seen has been quite astonishing and it would lead us to think that a headline slot is certainly within reach for the Sheffield rockers, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
5/2 Pulp to headline the Pyramid Stage on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday of Glastonbury 2011

Tickets for Glasto have sold out but there is a re-sale of cancelled ticket/bounced credit cards in the spring after the date when everyone has to be fully paid up.
If anything these are easier to get hold of than the 'proper' sale as it won't be announced - this is how my friends and I got hold of ours for 2009 and 2010.
However, you have to be quick as the tickets are limited and usually sell out within a couple of hours. The best way to be informed when it happens is to follow @GlastoWatch on Twitter.
I'm hoping for a Glastonbury date + plus one more if they do a little tour.
Fom Digital Spy - actual quotes from Jarvis (in turn lifted from his Twitter, didn't know he had one). And surprised no one has commented on what he said:
Cocker drops Pulp Glastonbury hint?
Friday, November 12 2010, 14:57 GMT By Mayer Nissim, Senior Entertainment Reporter
Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker has seemingly hinted that Pulp may perform at next year's Glastonbury festival.
The Sheffield group recently announced that they had reformed and would be headlining this year's Wireless festival, tickets for which went on sale today.
Writing on Twitter via his NotJarvisCocker account today, the singer wrote: "Glastonbury 2011 Tickets already sold out. And I was really hoping to go. What to do, what to do...."
Earlier this week, Cocker had quipped about the comeback: "Regarding Flavor Flav: Needless to say this was a major sticking point with the other members of the band. But he's now an official member.
"Will there be a new studio album: YES*. Will there be a tour: YES*. (* where YES=MAYBE)"
Wow...if it's really his account the fact that he's already entertaining the notion of new material is encouraging.
Russell involved in new Pulp material? Fuck me, I don't think I don't think I'd be able to contain myself.

Yeah, I don't think that's his Twitter. Let's just call it a hunch.
