A bit early to call the Suede reunion a success, they've been careful with the venues they've chosen to play (I think the biggest gig - the 02 in December, will have the upper tier cordened off). New material is always the acid test and neither Blur or Suede have thus far released any.
Having said that of course it would be great to see Pulp live again but without Russell I'd feel short-changed (just like seeing Suede without Bernard Butler).
As for the Best Of release, well we've already had deluxe editions of the main three albums. Suede nor Blur have done this, a 2nd compilation is taking the piss a bit when there's nothing new on it.
Jarvis' reaction to reunion rumours last year was that seeing as every Tom, Dick and Harry were reuniting he felt obliged to go against all that. Give it a couple more years - after he's released a third solo album and the onset of his 50th is approaching I reckon it'll happen.
