I was just wondering if anyone has a decent quality MP3 of the "new" version of "Manon". The only place to find this is the "Master of the Universe" 12" single because the "old" version that features on "Imminent 4" was placed on the "Masters of the Universe" compilation.

As far as I remember it is the same as the original and follows the same structure. The main difference is that some of the vocals were re-recorded.

Jarvis: "I'd got a Serge Gainsbourg album, which had a track called "Manon". It's not the same tune but, being naïve, I thought "Manon" was a man's name. In the end, I found out it was a woman's name! Again, I spoil it by speaking in French towards the end, which is embarrassing. The version on the "Imminent 4" compilation is different - we remixed it infinitesimally."

It seems, these words about this re-recording case?

It's supposed to be as follows:
Imminent 4 - Old version
Master of the Universe single - New version
Masters of the Universe compilation - New version

but, an error must have been made somewhere along the line meaning:
Imminent 4 - Old version
Master of the Universe single - New version
Masters of the Universe compilation - Old version

I have listened to all three of these and can confirm that the versions on "Imminent 4" and "Masters of the Universe" are definitely the same. The one on the single is different.

Oh, I found one difference:
Old version: 3:33
New version: 3:18
Maybe look on this basis?
