I'm ambivilent (is that how you spell it?) over this song: it's good, harmless, melodic. entertaining fun BUT as a keeper of both pet & rescue hens I fu**ing HATE foxes. This year, they've killed four of our hens & three of next doors hens. We're not farmers for profit, these are beloved pets. & it's not like they even eat them, it killed seven & ate one! They're vermin, simple as.
Actually, there is no official definition as to what is 'vermin' and what isn't. Saying that foxes are vermin is simply your opinion. Also, it is a complete myth that foxes 'kill for fun'- foxes have absolutely no concept of 'fun'. Foxes kill poultry and collect it gradually to bring back to their dens, however most of the time they are disturbed before they can collect it all, which is why people often find many dead hens etc.
It's sad that a fox killed your hens- I keep rabbits, some of which have been killed by cats before, again very sad- however this does not mean I consider cats to be vermin.
