Sigh. Annoying they always get lumped-in with Pulp. Even though I quite liked them.
After Butler left they were a shadow of the band. I thought Brett was doing the right thing, releasing low-key solo albums, gradually improving on each one. If this is a one-off thing for the charity then fair enough, but a full reunion would be a bit sad. I'd rather hear another Tears record.

Hear hear!
Aren't we all getting a little tired of the way the British music press insists on boxing bands into little niche subgenres. Perhaps it made sense 10 years ago, but now, with mp3, everyone listens to everything and these groupings are totally useless.
If we absolutely MUST categorize Pulp, I really think they should be lumped in with the Sheffield Electronic/Post-punk scene instead.
Well I'm sorry if you think I put them in the same category/box. I personally loved Suede, not as much as Pulp though but I adored them as well as other bands like Supergrass and other bands who were around at a similar time. Don't think there is anything wrong with that?
