How many did they make? I spent not very long on Google searching the catalogue number and even that doesn't bring up many results. Used copy on ebay yesterday went for around £35 but i was too late in increasing my bid. Amazon marketplace is always empty too. Did you all buy them up?
How does the Further Complications vinyl fair? Is it also on heavyweight vinyl? Is the gatefold sleeve good quality or just the usual flimsy cardboard you usually get? Everywhere is full of those vinyls so maybe they made more. Was Jarvis available on vinyl everywhere when it was released or was it strictly limited edition? You would think Rough Trade would have had a good stock pile of them or at least went to the effort of making more if they knew there was a demand. They must know there is literally only a handfull available online and the next cheapest one is £80!
FC isnt anything special. And same for Jarvis. they are regular vinyls, dont think they're heavyweight or anything special. Just limited print i guess. I havent opened Jarvis vinyl for quite some time though. Could be wrong.
I usually buy vinyls i really want just before the release date, online, so im sure i get a copy. That format is always strictly limited anyway, so you gotta be quick.

PS : rough trade (site and shop) is a shame. i bought two really overpriced stuff on there. Never again. they overcharge everything. FC/Girls like it too vinyl cost me more than a LP.

I am sure the last time i looked the FC 7" was only £3.49 on there. Though in this day and age i do feel as though large companys should not charge for postage. 180gram vinyl will not really stand out from many others. It should be solid though especially around the middle and you should not be able to bend it at all and obviously the sound should be a lot better and stay at a high quality for a longer period of time.
It is 3.49 (which is already a lot for a vinyl single. 2£ would be fair), but add roughly 7£ for p&p for delivery outside uk and you got the magic number.
Never, on any site, have i been charged so much money for such a little package. And i buy records from everywhere in the world :Japan, China, US...
Anyway, i hope you find what you're looking for. I know it can be frustrating...
What about Amazon marketplace? They have standard shipping rates. For instance anything i buy such as CD/DVD/Vinyl is just a flat fee of just over $6.00. Sometimes it is cheaper for me to buy from America rather than the UK as it works out cheaper. Maybe amazon uk has a cheap shipping rate for media too?
Jarvis was a pain in the ass to find on vinyl. I got lucky and found someone on amazon that sold it for around $25-30 with shipping a couple years ago.

The first album is not readily available on vinyl (though you can pick it up for £3 at Fopp on CD). I was quite fortunate in getting mine back in January for £10 on amazon marketplace, which I suspect was due to a record store clear out. I suspect there weren't too many pressed and guess it's unlikely any more will be. I don't think it was limited edition. In all likelihood, a pile of them will turn up in Fopp in the new year.
There is a Fopp in the city centre but it is all overpriced albums and not many modern stuff at all. Plus if it is not something could order in i doubt they would have any stock left of anything. I suppose i could keep checking Amazon Marketplace (even though they have a Superman logo in place of the album cover!) and maybe get it cheap on there. It is pretty expensive whenever it is on Ebay so i guess there must be some demand for it. Plenty of Further Complications vinyls around so i guess they are not in demand as much.

Fopp is owned by HMV and is their dumping ground for all the stuff they cannot sell in the main stores (mainly deletions). The one in Covent Garden gets new stock in most days and as I work just down the road I often pop in and have a look. Most days I get nothing but every now and then they get a pile of great stuff in and I blow a few quid, and have to smuggle it into the house.
Last week they had Arctic Monkey Live @ apollo vinyl box with DVD for £8, and recently has the deluxe His 'n Hers for £3 (which I got a spare copy of). Add to that loads of other vinyl I have picked up (Last Shadow Puppets, Arctic Monkeys, Killing Joke, Verve, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, Interpol, Sex Pistols, Who, Nirvana) for £3 a pop, many of them double LPs. It's a store you have to visit frequently but it is rewarding.
The Jarvis Cocker album has been out of print long enough to make an appearance if there are copies lurking in the HMV vaults. I am ever hopeful they have some dusty copies of Hardcore and Different Class as well.
