Surely in these days of online ordering, different album release dates (especially when 3 years apart) for different territories are a bit pointless.

Universal Music is set to reissue three albums from Britpop icons Pulp in the U.S. on Nov. 17.
The deluxe packages for 1994's "His 'n' Hers," 1995's "Different Class," and 1998's "This is Hardcore," which have been available in the UK since 2006, will contain the original albums plus bonus material selected by former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker.
All three packages will feature a second disc of single b-sides and previously unreleased session tracks and demos, as well as a 32-page booklet with session photos and Cocker-penned liner notes.
Pulp had existed in some form for 16 years and released several independent albums before their Island Records debut "His 'n' Hers," which was nominated for the Mercury Prize and featured singles "Babies," "Lipgloss" and "Do You Remember the First Time?" The band's superstardom came with the 1995 release of single "Common People," and subsequent album "Different Class" debuted at the top of the UK charts. The more cynical "This Is Hardcore" garnered more mixed reviews on release, but also entered the UK charts at No. 1, and peaked at No. 114 on the Billboard 200.
In May of this year, Cocker released his second solo album, "Further Complications," a follow-up to 2006's "Jarvis," both on Rough Trade Records. On Oct. 1, he announced the Nov. 9 release of a 7-inch single of the "Further Complications" title track plus album track "Girls Like It Too," limited to 1,000 copies.

Exports boost domestic record sales figures.
Sarah, I think you are dramatically overstating the importance of Fantastic Mr. Fox and Jarvis' role therein. It's a very small movie and Jarvis has a very small role.
I wonder if this news, coupled with our recent discovery that the failure that was Hits has actually gone on to ship 100,000 units (albeit the majority very likely at highly discounted prices) and the fact that Further Complications fared quite well (hitting the top 20) would cause Universal to consider that damned We Love Life deluxe edition...

So small that it's the opening film at the London Film Festival?
Hurrah for the North Americans - that's all I have to say! Does anyone have a contact for Jarvis' UK agent? I can find his agent in America but not the UK - trying to contact Rough Trade is like pissing on bonfire!

I wonder if these will be available on iTunes and/or Amazon's MP3 store. While I really think the physical copies are worth getting -- for the great photos and Jarvis' notes -- lots of people don't bother with CDs anymore. And what's most important, I think, is people getting to hear stuff like "Your Sister's Clothes" and "It's a Dirty World."
Yeah, it´s definitely HnH era. Webbo has his hair trimmed a bit (after it being quite wild on the ´The Word´performance of Lipgoss in Nov ´93), so spring/summer ´94 I imagine. I did think it was a TOTP performance due to the presence of the ´TO...´ letters at the back but they only performed Babies around that time and Jarvis was wearing a blazer on that. Naked City most likely.
I think that picture must be from the soundcheck for Butt Naked, but the photo is from the other side of the stage from how it was filmed. If you saw another couple of inches to the left you'd see a neon PULP sign.
I love the way you can tell what year it is from the length of Mark's hair.

European films aren't that big in the US, so it can be the opening film at that festival, but I don't think it has to be a big film because of that.

I agree it's probably from a soundcheck... Jarvis wearing his specs (and tapping the microphone) is another giveaway.
The back projection seems to have some kind of text about a pet shop. How bizzare.

I was watching some of those clips this weekend. What happened to the performance of "His 'n' Hers"? It's not on YouTube anymore. Can anyone here upload it again? It really is one for the ages. (So are the others, esp. "Lipgloss" and "She's a Lady" for that matter.
