As many of you know i missed my last chance to see him in the UK and i was pleasantly surprised to see many youtube videos of people meeting him after some shows and he seems pleasant enough. I'm not sure how many more albums Jarvis is contracted to do with Rough Trade but i would hate to miss out on seeing him or even meeting him. I feel as if Pulp reformed anytime soon then all chances would be gone, especially standing outside after a show. I don't mean Jarvis himself has changed but i think it would be like him going back into the mainstream again and being untouchable where as right now he seems to be doing so many little appearances here and there and seems to be very approachable as long as your in the right place at the right time.
I suppose if i am honest i really like his first solo album and a lot of songs from FC have grown on me and if i had a choice i really would choose seeing him solo as apposed to seeing Pulp. I just hope i haven't missed out. When Jarvis came out i know he did a short tour in the UK but did he ever come back? Or do you think maybe it is just one tour per album because if that is the case then it could take him years to release something else and a Pulp reunion could easily happen within a period of a few years. I hope people's expectations, money and the idea of fame again doesn't sway him too much and i hope that he does release more solo stuff and does tour solo and that people want to see him solo and do his own stuff. I suppose it goes back to my other thread and Jarvis saying ' i have to work '. I think Jarvis is hungry again and the passion is there for performing and he is doing so many shows now i don't want a Pulp reuinion to happen and for him to make so much money that he doesn't have to work again. I hope he keeps the passion and maybe next year surprises us all by doing some shows in the UK.....especially Scotland!
