Just had a quick look at the TV guide and it's not looking good for live coverage. Bloody Michael Jackson documentaries on everywhere instead! Hopefully there will be highlights later on.

I did notice that on BBC radio 6 music at midnight there is a programme revisiting classic Glasto sets, and this one is Pulp's set from '95.

Jarvis is listed as "coming up" on the red button section, at least on Sky. (Might be different for freeview as they don't always have as many interactive streams.) But it looks like we should get to see most of his set sometime tonight.

He was on in the end on the red button coverage, on Sky anyway (no idea about freeview.) They showed at least:

Pilchard
Angela
Slush
Homewrecker!
Fat Children
You're In My Eyes (Discosong)

But I only switched over during Pilchard, so there might have been more before that. YIME featured some guest vocalists and the guy from Florence and the Machine on harp. Wasn't much in the way of between song chat, but I imagine that's more to do with how the BBC edited it than a reflection of the gig itself.

Pilchard was the first song played so you didn't miss anything before that. Hoping it will be screened in it's entirity at some point...? Hmm.

Jarvis is back on now on red button coverage! Just started; the first song is on now.

Also I can confirm that it's on Freeview and Sky at the moment.

And it did start with Pilchard (or "Pilchards" to quote the useless captions.)

Pulp's '95 set on Steve Lamacq's classic Glastonbury :)

Does anyone know where the best place to watch Jarvis' 2009 set then?

It's possible the whole thing might get shown at some point, but it's usually the exception rather than the rule when it comes to the BBC's Glasto coverage. I'd expect the version that goes online today to be identical to what was shown on the red button. Or at least that's been the case with the other bands where I've compared the two versions.

Although it was only six songs, the BBC version was still 33 minutes (YIME is as long as three normal songs anyway...) So we probably got a fair chunk of the set. Maybe a half?

Typical. He played Girls Like It Too for the first time this year but it wasn't shown. From nme.com:

Our own Barcroft has a comment at the end of the article. I thought the same as him re the stage invasion.

Jarvis Cocker had to deal with an over-eager stage invader during his headlining slot on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury tonight (June 27).

Before the former Pulp singer played 'Homewrecker!' a fan managed to make his way onto the stage, sidling up to Cocker and taking to the microphone.

"Without this man, Britpop would have been shit," the reveller said. "He gave it integrity, which no-one else did."

Clearly surprised, Cocker took the man's drink off him - a bottle of champagne - and swigged from it before declaring that he had been left "embarrassed" by the encounter.

The fan was then calmly removed from the stage by security and Cocker continued uninterrupted.

The singer later played a flute he had purchased at a Glastonbury cafe earlier in the day. Using the instrument on 'Caucasian Blues', he said he had bought it because it was "the whitest instrument I could think of", before describing it as a typically "lazy" instrument to play.

"Are you alright then? Is this the best festival in the world?" Cocker asked the crowd early on in the set.

"Within half-an-hour of arriving last night we were sat round a table with someone dressed as Bluebeard serving us cous cous... you just don't get that at other festivals," he continued.

He and his band then launced into the riff-heavy 'Angela' from his latest album '"Further Complications"'.

After the track, Cocker picked up a stray plastic cup from the floor and wore it as a mask, much to the delight of the audience.

Watched by members of Kasabian, the singer tore through a set that relied purely on his solo material. Before playing 'Leftovers', Cocker teased the audience by saying: "Who wants to see a live dinosaur?", making reference to the song's abstract lyrics.

With the crowd clearly lapping up the 90-minute set, Cocker took time to dedicate a song - 'Girls Like It Too' - to John Peel, the DJ whom the stage is named after.

"This song, we wanted to play it 'cos the title comes from a phrase I heard at John Peel's funeral, from his brother," Cocker explained before starting the track.

For final track 'You're In My Eyes (Discosong)' Cocker was joined by a series of backing singers and extra musicians.

Jarvis Cocker played:

'Pilchard'
'Angela'
'Further Complications'
'Slush'
'Big Julie'
'Leftovers'
'Homewrecker!'
'Caucasian Blues'
'Girls Like It Too'
'Fat Children'
'Don't Let Him Waste Your Time'
'You're In My Eyes'

I tell you what - he got one hell of a good reaction from the crowd......more of a reaction than the likes of Lady Gash Gash.... was nice to see him get recognised like this.

So did anyone here actually go to see Jarivs there? Or were you the aforementioned stage invader?

I doubt anyone is home from Glasto yet, Anet!

Or if they are, they've probably toddled off to bed to catch-up on the sleep they've not got for the past few days.

But Jarvis was on Saturday, so they could have been civilised and had a day ticket!
I watched the performance online, but it was a shame it was edited - probably cut out a lot of the very important Jarvis banter.

Just got back from Glasto and I can report that Jarvis was in fine form. The stage invasion incident was rather amusing and jarvis was left a bit embarrassed by it all - so much so that his glasses steamed up and he couldn't see a thing - so he then had to "give away" his secret as to how his glasses didn't fall off on stage (he has them strapped around his head)

The guy was obviously a little worse for wear! At first I thought it was someone official doing a cringe worthy 'This Is Your Life' style tribute - as perhaps jarvis did as he happily handed over his microphone! The man was allowed to say his piece and then was politely shown the way off stage by security.

I expected Jarvis to have something to say about Jacko but perhaps wisely he kep't off the subject. I guess now there's no more fitting tribute than a stage invasion!

The crowd responded really well. I was left a bit disappointed after discosong as I suspected he was going to do something special for an encore (having played "Fat Children" & DLHWYT in the main set). The crowd were also a bit grumbly about the lack of encore but he kind of put it right as while everyone was walking away with their tails between legs he re-appeared onstage - but just to apologise that the really had to stop as they had reached their curfew.

It was great to hear "Girls Like It Too". Everyone responded really well to it and by the 3rd chorus people already knew the words and were singing along - proving how bloody catchy that song is. He played it as a dedication to John Peel.

Jarvis was full of energy. The band sounded fantastic. Jarvis wasn't quite as chatty as usual but i think this was due to lack of time more than anything else.

Jarvis mentioned that he and the singers who came on for Discosong had done a version of Fat Children earlier in the day on the Park Stage which i sadly missed but I was there when he turned up out of the blue to play bass for Spinal Tap. He fitted in really well and danced around the stage with the band! It was a great suprise and very funny!
