I have a fondness for both, but I think I prefer the album mix overall. Although the backing harmonies sound really nice, I feel that they drown the lead vocal a bit too much in this mix.

Thanks for that - Ive only ever heard the album version before. Don't worry about the crackles your vinyl - somehow it adds to the charm of the first Pulp record!
