Wow, good find. Is that Manners wooing Candida during their early days together while her poor brother is just bored by the whole thing...

Russell, as ever, looks the business.

I wonder where it was taken, the Wicker rooms?

Haha. That's what I thought. It's a great, vivid image. Thought I had seen pretty much all the old photos in circulation. Rare to find an unspectacled Jarvis photo from this period too!

I glanced at that this morning on my last.fm home page and thought "hmm, i don't think i've seen that pic before." It's interesting now that I've gotten a closer look.

By the way, if anyone wants to be last.fm friends, this is me.

That's a David Bocking shot from 1985 - same session as the photos on the Little Girl EP.

Looks like he takes some good shots! Any more good 'uns lurking in the archives that you know of...?

He gave us some cracking stuff to choose from for the book. Two posed sessions from 85 and 87 and at least two gigs - Hallamshire '86 and Limit '87. Quite a bit of it is seen in The Beat Is The Law, and most of the ancient photocopied stuff in the Pulp Scrapbooks is his. It'd be nice to see it all collected together in one place, although I don't know if there'd be much of a financial incentive for him to do it really!

Nice picture. How did you come across it? Always thought he was suited for modeling - an ideal figure. A Burberry look, if you will.  (biggrin @ how seriously I'm thinking about this)
Does this just appear in the book as a one off, or did it make it as part of a national campaign?

That photo Symphonie posted -- or, rather, the accompanying article -- came up on my daily Google Reader news alert on Jarvis. Because I am a giant nerd, and proud!

So this is the picture of the campaign of Marc Jacobs that is mentioned in truth and beauty?
