the song is titled "angela" but it's pretty clear when you listen to it that it is "discosong". Ok it's not completely awful but... the original is way better.

Hmm...not exactly on a par with the ''Let Them Eat Acid'' remix of Fat Kids is it?
I do like the harp loop towards the end though.
Wonder if it will pop-up as a b-side at some stage...hopefully not.

I tend not to listen to remixes and covers of Pulp and Jarvis songs... scene they are often not worth listen to. is the fat children remix an exception?

It's not much different to the original - a bit more ''oomph'' to it I suppose.

I concur with not listening to Pulp remixes, they are indeed shite almost without exception (the Disco 2000 Alan Tarney ''single version'' being one).

To think that Universal were going to fill up the Different Class reissue with multiple versions of Common People before Jarvis stepped in and rooted out the old demos of unreleased songs..

I just came across this today on youtube. I'm gonna be alone on this one, but I prefer this remix to the album version. It's a bit of fun, and nowhere near as droning as the original. I think I enjoy it because the beat is better, and it omits all the "you're in my eyes....I don't wanna lose you again" bits.

I heard this a while ago and I don't mind it. Is it just me or are the vocals clearer on this mix ? The thing I like about the original though, is the way the vocal changes speakers... 'the best part of the decade... the worst part of the decade'... I lurve those Jarvis whispers in my ears whisper.gif sounds great on the ipod

Oh, just like he did with "Angela"...! Anyway why don't remix some of the bad songs instead?
Too me it's just seems like a waste of time when some one takes a song like you're in my eyes and give it a make over when there's other songs that are in much more need of one.

My comments on his site about possible giving fans the acapellas to do their own remix has been deleted. I dont understand why as a lot of artists these days hold competitions and stuff for fans to remix stuff.
