Hmmm, had seen that Blackpool had dropped off the list of dates on Jarvspace. Not heard anything from Ticketmaster who I bought tickets from though.

Got a B&B booked in blackpool aswell, so hope there is a good reason for this.

Seems it is indeed cancelled or postponed.

Can anyone get on JarvisCocker.net by the way? Gets stuck on downloading data whenever I have tried recently.

Let's hope Jarvis is not doing a Morrissey. 6 of his UK dates cancelled in about 2 weeks.

Pulp/Jarvis's record of cancelling gigs is pretty faultless I think. Rarely happens.
Fuck-all use to those with Blackpool tickets though.

Thank god I've got Brighton - I've had more than my fair share of cancelled gigs, and I need this Jarvis one so badly.

Oh dear - this time I was lucky, and had tickets for one of the few dates that actually went ahead.  But was at the Roundhouse gig last year that got pulled after 3 songs, and was followed by a near riot when bizzarely Russell Brand and John Ross took to the stage to tell us Morrisey wasn't coming back on - they went down like a lead balloon.

Somebody needs to tell Ticketmaster this gig isn't happening. Just had an event reminder e-mail for it.

Still, got a refund on the B&B and I'm going to catch a couple of the other UK dates instead. Quite looking forward to them now. I wonder if they will be the same format as his last tour, with a mini lecture and a disco at the end.

Just had an interesting phone call with someone at the Empress Ballroom - apparently management of Jarvis's record label didnt want cancellation letters to be sent out - however we will have received them today in the post. It is Jarvis's management who postponed the gig.

Its POSTPONED, not CANCELLED. A date is being rearranged as I type, and we will all be informed as soon as it is known. Rough Trade were meant to have phoned the Ballroom yesterday to confirm a new date - but they never did.

Fuckers
