Will sales of the album bought at this event be included in the charts with the ones sold from the regular release date (the following Monday) onwards?
Not good for me either - got tickets to see Morrissey that night. Jarvis and Morrissey on the same night - typcial! It's like buses - you wait for ages and then they all turn up together.
Hmm...I have the evening free but I'm busy in the afternoon which means i would need to go first thing when they open to get the album and wristband! Hope they are giving them out that early! :S
I think it says you can collect wristbands after 4pm. Might be worth checking with them though. Does anyone know where this store actually is? Nearest tube station? MIght be just me being dumb, but I can't find this info on their site. Morrissey has cancelled 2 gigs already this week, so if the one I've got tickets for on Saturday is off too, I'm going to go and see Jarvis instead. I'm sort of hoping the gig will be cancelled now!

It's hard to understand exactly what the rules are. It seems if you buy an album then you can get a wristband straight away...and it says that Jarvis will be helping serve from 4pm. Whether that means you can or can't buy an album before 4pm I'm not sure!
Otherwise it says wristband collection is one hour before the appearance...presumably this is a first come first served for people who aren't buying the album...?
It's all sounding a bit complicated!
Anyway, the shop is in Brick Lane...about five mins from Liverpool Street station.
me me me me me me me!!! pal went and got me the album on vinyl, with wristband and bag, and (barring work disasters) my lovely boss is letting me go early
and as a bonus it's only about 5 mins walk from my house too!
I have my cd and wristband- so excited. It is REALLY quiet, no queues at all. I'm surprised that no one is here. Will chat with jarvis at 4pm!!!! I will ask about GLIT and a live DVD.
So how many of us were there then? Did anyone meet up at all? Weener...I guess that WAS you I was stood next to. I did wonder but couldn't remember what you looked like well enough from Feeling Gloomy (I'd had a few drinks!) to actually ask...plus I had noticed on the board you said you weren't going. So I'll say "Hi" now, for earlier, so as not to appear rude!
Will post a link to a little vid I made as soon as it's finished processing through YouTube.
When I heard September I was just happy to hear it was being released at all. In hindsight I should have asked if it is a b-side/free download etc. It was my mates birthday and jarvis pointed him out in the crowd, quite surprised he remembered us from earlier in the day!!!
And I probably bored Jarvis half to death. Just rambled on way too long about some pointless crap about a previous time I tried to catch him to say hello until I finally thought "what the hell am I talking about?", politely shook his hand after having a photo taken and said bye! :S
Hate meeting idols...it's like "Right...try to make this person like you! You have 30 seconds! GO!"
I didn't make it in the end, because me Morrissey gig wasn't cancelled after all. So it was good to see the clip of what I missed. Apparently Jarvis will be behind the counter at HMV, Oxford Street tomorrow too.
I had a similar 'what the hell am I talking about?' experience when I met one of my other musical inspirations (Tim Booth from James) last year. I was trying so hard not to come across as another deparate to impress fan, that I went completely the other way, and didn't say anything I really should have done, and even more foolishly, even turned down a swig of champagne offered to me from the bottle he was drinking from! So if I do get to chat with Jarvis, I'm just gonna let it all out this time!
