They've worked together on many occasions. But does anyone know how and when they meet? They seem like two totally different persons to me. The only thing they seem to have in common is their bohemianness.

They like music/art that's a bit different and interesting, like themselves.
They both put a lot of thought into their lyrics but have a penchant for going sleazy when the mood takes them.
Their first meeting? Dunno, perhaps at Nick Cave's Meltdown in 1999 (didn't Jarvis perform Cuckoo Song at this?). I think Jarvis' involvement in the Bad Seeds' music video for '15 ft of Pure White Snow' followed this.
That video is great. It has got three of my biggest heroes coming out of the light in after eachother, firstly Nick Cave, than Jarvis and followd by Bad Seeds guitarist Blixa Bargeld.

I've been on a big Nick Cave kick lately. I first got into him through that "15 Feet" video, which I think I heard about through the old Lipgloss listserv. So that Jarvis cameo is partially responsible for my Cave fandom.
They also both have similar fashion habits. They're both tall and skinny, and really throw themselves into their live performances with unique dance moves, etc.
Nick and the Bad Seeds played Philly last year for the first time since 1994 and they were unbelievably great.
