I couldn't agree with you more. Big Stuff and One Man Show are better than most, if not all, of the album tracks. Loss Adjuster is good too, but a bit too wacky to be on an album. I liked the little parts of it througout the album though.

Each to their own! I really like Heavy Weather & Quantum Theory. Tonite would be good, but it's let down by some clunky lyrics. "let's go take some drugs/& let's go have some sex". Could probably benefit more from a re-write than total deletion! Baby's Coming Back To Me is a funny one, you have to be in the right chill-out mood for it. I agree it could have been left off the record, but we'd probably've loved it as a b side. & as for the b sides themselves, I love Big Stuff & Loss Adjustor, but One Man Show just doesn't feel 'finished'. Works well live tho'.
On a completely unrelated topic, when Jarvis does bring out some new songs, I hope there's a lot more synth! & flashier production like the Potter songs, rather than the Stereophonics/Hawley 'real music only' vibe. This Is Hardcore managed to tread perfectly between the two, but that was 10 years ago! I think I'd like him to give us some pop like HisNHers or the Long Blondes. Or even something as off the wall as Seperations. That's what Pulp were best at, not sounding like all the other bands.

I enjoy 'Tonite' more now as he dedicated it to me in Glasgow last year. I think that line probably somes up why he did (as I was pretty wasted). Now when I hear it, it reminds me of what a great day that was.
That aside, my opinion of a song can often change after wittnessing it being played live. Quite often the track I originally saw as a 'filler' on an album is the one stuck in my head on the way home from the concert.
PS - I must add that alcohol and nicotine are the only drugs I consumed that day!
