At Electric Picnic back at the start of September he said that was going to be the last gig for a while. Presumably he's since busied himself with the school run, but considering he's in three-day-week France that's not much of an excuse. The fatalism of his comeback interviews (accepting that he is a musician for good and can't retire) gives one hope that he's off planning his next album. With any luck he feels as underwhelmed by the recent plod-rock material as most people (i.e. me) and will go back to pure pop, experimentalism or just plain mentalism.
A RM comeback? That'd be cool. I'd love to hear Billy Jack & Rod Of Iron live. But surely it's TIME for Pulp, tho'? Auto was a long time ago. A long, long time ago. Some people are worried that it'd be bad for Pulp to come back incase the record's not up to scratch. Two things: a) ...Miner's Strike proved Pulp still worked brilliantly, the production on WLL was just an error. b) Who cares?! We want a tour more than an album anyway. (I did like the solo record tho', Big Julie is amazing & classic Jarvis.)

Jarvis could always tour and play anything he wants.
Not sure about Pulp though. After all Jarvis solo was mostly Pulp (bar Nick/Mark).
I think We Love Life was a great album. Maybe not Pulp's best but certainly a very good album. My only production quiblle would be The Trees sounding like it needed speeding up.
Not so sure about Miner's Strike. Sounded like filler to me. Not a patch on most stuff from Intro onwards.
